Just wanted to say I'm here, I guess.

I wanted to play PSO again for some odd reason. I didn't want to play Schthack (you know a server is bad when it has 'hack' in it's fuggin name)

My name is Slasher ingame, I got to lvl 12 on a different HUmar and then realized I wanted Oran and not Bluefull, hence the dumb name

I knew about the Ultima server but didn't like it because I don't speak Spanish...

Found this and was very happy to find out it has higher rates. Simply put, I *love* it and it's about damn time someone made a pso server that you don't have to play 12 hrs a day to get anywhere or get good items. I'm a casual player, although I used to play schthack fairly hardcore, but not anything special. My history with pso goes back to about 2004 or so. I bought a Dreamcast on ebay then, was downloading and burning games, and I tried PSO v2...since I was a Ragnarok Online player and played a private server at the time, I figured there might be one for PSO online...of course I found Schtserv in it's "glory days" of V2. I loved the game enough to try and play legit, and have played on and off since, thankfully for a long time I don't have fonewms w/ Spread Needle coming into my games and clearing everything out..

Also since I only played scht and got sick of the slow grind (I tend to play multiple games on console, pc etc concurrently) I've never seen ult!! This server rocks as I know I'll most definitely be able to with the higher rates =D my highest char was a 76 Hucast w/ Excalibur... my two best friends on scht were Whatah and Yuki Takahashi [fonewearl]

Anyway, about me. I'm a huge computer and gaming nerd, although I really dont look it. I built my first comp recently from parts, and finished the build the same night the parts arrived. I'm a former hardcore pvp player of Ragnarok Online, Lineage II, and World of Warcraft and led some pretty big guilds. Additionally I'm a graphic designer, scripter, database developer, etc and I ran 4 Ragnarok private servers and one WoW private server to a good degree of popularity and success.. I'm unemployed currently (have been for years tbh) and am trying to work through personal issues in my life, before most likely going into the computer industry either as a database developer (MySQL), systems administrator or PC repair specialist.

Thought you guys might like to see what PSO looks like at high res, highest possible settings, w/ 8x antialiasing and anisotropic filtering (although I dont doubt some of you might be able to run it like this yourselves)

tbh Win7 is probably the best OS Microsoft has ever made but I feel more comfortable in Linux...nice to not have to worry about malware and viruses, and I like having full control of my experience...since I play console games a lot, it's cool to just take a glance at my desktop and see news, my todo list, my msn/aim contacts, my comp's temperature and stats, what song is playing, etc... next thing I'm adding is torrent info on my desktop, grabbed from my torrent client..

I guess you could say I'm a jack of all trades, master of none. I'm random and various in my pursuits, probably cuz I have ADHD...lol

Hehe if anything don't be jealous, I'm really nice and go out of my way to help people out..

Hell if any of you have a Playstation 2- I know how to install a memory card exploit with ESR and Codebreaker...

Basically lets you play burned DVD games without a modchip at all, all you need to do it is a DVD burner and a copy of James Bond 007: Agent Under Fire (used to inject the exploit .elf file, I got a copy of this game for about $2.99 at gamestop)...after it's set up, you download any ps2 game, take the iso and patch it with this program, and it will boot no problem. This exploit can also be done a bit easier with a retail copy of any ps2 cheat tool disc (codebreaker, Action Replay, Gameshark etc)

Additionally, if anyone needs help with anything around here...just ask. Computer stuffs. My philosophy is "share the wealth" hehe

wat. In my opinion, Windows 7 is just another fail by Microsoft. I've used XP and 7, and I prefer XP by far. 7 is just a glorified version of Vista, that still sucks.

@ Kireek: Cool that you're here, you were one of the best players on Scht back then (and probably are still one of the better ones now)... You might remember me from way back then, I had a Humar named Waza-san, was my forum name too...I had a image of Rolf from Phantasy Star 2 as my forum av and the funny "rise from your grave" intro from Altered Beast on genny as my sig...I think we partied a few times and you gave me some shit... kickass pictures in that thread too,

@ Karma: I'm a free thinker, I know when to admit my mistakes and rectify them, and I'm a Daoist... might also help I'm 25, lol...but yes I'm very random, I do a lot of things very well but my downfall is that for all the knowledge I have on various subjects, people that devote themselves to just one of them exceed me by a longshot...

The only thing I'm close to being a master of is Street Fighter...neglected to mention that interest earlier but yeah I used to go to tournaments for SF and I have a $350 custom arcade stick with all imported Japanese parts modded for my personal playstyle... I play SFIII: 3rd Strike, every SF ever made, King of Fighters, etc etc...anything as long as it's 2D, I hate Soul Calibur/Tekken/all that crap

I played PSOBB back then on official and he looks familiar, the place was nearly dead when I was there, and this was before Schtserv had BB support..

I seem to recall a lvl 180 or so humar that looked like that, but I could be wrong, and I think the name was something like "Masamune" or "Muramasa" or something...I just remember that guy and a few others that were under lvl 100, all welcoming me and giving me some lower lvl rare weapons when I started...
