i have the data execution prevention on it it still crashes

No i turned off the dep and it still crashes

Does it crash before even loading the "Sonic Team" screen? If so it could be DirectX initialization issue.

This can be caused by a number of things:

• Incompatible Resolution selected in options
• External monitor plugged into laptop which can cause directx not to be able to detect the supported resolution
• Video card drivers (try updating them).

Other reasons for general crashing are:

• Corrupt data files
• Antivirus preventing PSOBB.EXE from accessing its data files
• If game has been installed in the "Program Files" directory in Vista/7/8. This is a protected directory in these operating systems. There's no issues with putting it there. It's just you'll need to ensure that the game is run as an Administrator to work correctly.

Try downloading the Eden client and unpacking it to a directory that your user has full control to. "My documents" for example, and then try launching online.exe/psobb.exe.

It crashes after a couple of minutes of gameplay im on windows 8 and its in my personal folder not in the documents or program folder ile try what you said

When it crashes are you able to view more details about the crash? It can sometimes reference a DLL or Driver component.

If you can browse to the following location on your system "%homepath%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\WER\ReportArchive" (if you press the windows key+R and enter that string without quotes and click ok). Look for a folder named AppCrash_psobb.exe_... if it exists if you can send me the report.wer file within the folder I can take a look and see if I can find out what's causing it.
