Since I've reinstalled my computer, I backed up my game files like I usually do and when it's done, I get back on the game.
Sadly, this wasn't the case with Eden. At first, I thought it was down for patching, no problem
Came back to try again later, same stuff. I figured since a friend of mine whom I introduced the game to had the same problem, it wasn't a coincidence anymore. I figured I'll re-download the game and retry that, still the very same problem.
Any ideas how to fix this?

Well, the server's definitely up. First, it would be important to specify which error message you got. Second, I'll have to consider the time this was posted. Which was almost 12 hours ago. If the server's accessible for you and your friend by the time you get back, let me know. If not, it's definitely you, and you would need to at least post screenshots of the error message you get so we can know exactly what the problem is.

And I'm assuming it didn't work? If not... how bizarre.

Random curiosity leads me to ask if your hosts file (google it if you don't know where it is) perhaps is directing connections meant to go to eden's server elsewhere, such as to localhost or something...

Are there any entries including the text 'edenserv.net' in it, and if so, does removing that resolve the connection issues?

May as well check your MTU while you're at it too. (psobb requires at least 1420

I don't see any of that in the host file at all. If there is a line I have to add, what should it be?

Not sure what MTU is but I hoped you could have seen the signal that I have played here before.
