Alright, I've been messing with this, and having to ask about it makes me feel stupid as, but here goes.

How the bloody effing hell do I get PSO to let me type in Japanese? Changing every last one of my computer's language-related settings has so far done absolutely nothing, but hell, for all I know I'm doing it incredibly wrong. At the moment I'm tentatively thinking it might have something to do with the unitxt (I seem to remember something about needing to change one's unitxt file to make it work on Vista, but this was back in my Scht days, bleh.) but we all know what they say about assuming...

Currently running Windows 7, if that helps - don't ask me what version, I have no clue.

If it's the unitxt, can I have the proper one? And if not, halp?

If I'm not mistaken, there are keyboard shortcuts to set your input language, though I don't know what they are.

I've often started typing moonrunes because I mis-hit keys someplace and changed it, but don't take my word for it dear Gawd. I'm blonde.

Oh, I have no problem switching the input languages, but it won't let me switch from romaji to hiragana/katakana. Mind if I ask how exactly you've got yours set up?

(The command is Alt+Left Shift, btw. :Db)

Edit for anyone concerned: Alright, here's what I see whenever I switch to Japanese in PSO - notice everything useful on the language bar up top thar is "greyed out" and unclickable. Does that no matter the language setting. Seriously annoying. D:
