Ok, I am trying to play on my school's computer. However when I log into the server, the game slows to a crawl. Can anyone explain why. Could it be my ping or something like that? I've been trying to figure this out forever now and I have no clue.

Any explanations would be greatly appreciated.

Also, I forgot to add when I quit the game, it runs fine. No graphics lag or anything :/

Its probably the fact that school routers are under heavy traffic most of the day, dealing with many people logging in and out, playing music watching videos, this all consumes bandwidth.

This may not be the case, but its possible.

@Laura, FPS, but the music runs fine D: It's like when I click yes under quit game, the menu disappears and the character moves at normal speed (Pretty fast, but not too fast (Breathing stance)
