Post PSO is an addiction
Old Gamecube player and ex-Schtack user reporting in.

Due to the recent PSO remake project making me freshly remember my PSO glory days, I ended up looking for a (non-loner) solution to play the game and ended up here. Even with its low population, from a glance the community and management herein Eden seems much better. Everyone seems friendlier, admins and mods seem actually involved and most importantly, it isn't pay2win like many other private servers.

I'm hoping to have some fun and meet all of you wonderful hunters out there!

PSO really is an addiction. I told myself in 2012 I was done with the game, ended up coming back in 2014, told myself I was done with it once again and now here I am!

Crazy how this game holds onto people, huh?

Forgot to mention in my opening posts about how I already owed Sin some thanks due to helping me out in my first 30 minutes on this server. Granted, we mainly just had a quick chat while he buffed and watched me tackle the Dragon with my newly made RAmarl, but its quite nice to see players being helpful without going overboard (droping lots of items and doing all of the work for you).

I love seeing how new games still carry on the PSO influence towards the newer generations (for example, even games like the Souls/Bloodborne series).

One of my pet theories in regards to how PSO still holds up is how "soothing" the rhythmic nature of PSO's combat gameplay is, paired with the lack of a roll/dodge mechanic. Plus the stylized, colorful artstyle certainly help towards that first impression.

We're hoping to grow a bit with some of the changes we're making, too, so hopefully that'll be addressed. :)

Welcome to the server, hope you enjoy your stay!

Well really though, I don't mind it that much, low-pop has its charms too. In a way it helps by forming an actual community (since everyone knows each other) than its high-pop counterpart with its copious blur of activity and highly varied users. Either way, I'm planning to enjoy it!
