What's fascinating is that if I wanted to demonstrate the size of even just the visible universe compared to the size of our planet and I wanted to use any object, like say a dime, I'd have to find something 333,333,333,333,333,333 times its size.
Assuming the dime to be 1.8 centimeters wide, I'd have to find an object approximately 600,000,000,000,000,000 centimeters, or 6,000,000,000,000 kilometers in diameter.
...And that's far bigger than the earth, so that wouldn't work too well.
