A humble poll for a humble question.

It has some taste for me.

Tastes like water, but it's crispier

Most definitely.
Depending on where you got the water, it can be quite good or even near undrinkable.

I agree it does taste different from place to place, for instance i used to stay in high rise flats, so the water came from a storage tank and tasted like ass, now though i stay in a semi-detached so the water comes straight from the mains and tastes great (can usually tell if its storage or mains by testing the water pressure).

Theres many factors that can contribute to it's taste, they use chlorine to treat water before sending it on its way to you, sometimes traces of it can remain in the water (not enough to cause any harm) enough to cause the water to taste different, hell even the medium which the water travels through (copper, plastic pipes) can affect the taste, water shouldn't really taste like anything unless its gathered impurities or stuff has been added to it.

Not only does it depend on the water source, but it also depends on the container you're drinking it from. Drinking from my plastic water jug is much different from the same water from the glass.

I believe ice has a distinct taste.

Water also has minerals too which probably add to flavor. But alot of the water we drink has chemicals and shit in it which give it flavor. I remember this town not far from where I live has sulfur in all there water so it smells and taste like rotten eggs.

I went for a little, like others have said it for me mostly depends on the water itself.

I'm pretty sure frozen pure water tastes differant to frozen tap water.
