What are you using for your modeling? And besides, your thing looks better, best to ignore my stuff :p I can't make characters (that well) and struggle with the limitations of blender all too often lol...I haven't do e enough for a real prototype either. Probably will model PW, GM, maybe other things. I suck at modeling, though...but I'll see what I can do lol

Thats how I'd imagine an LK in real life.

No one, I imagine you have a .edu e mail address...try heading over to the autodeskwebsite and downloading a free licenses to both Maya and Max.

Edit: That is a fail URL thing...>.<

Edit 2: That also goes to anyone else, that has a .edu e mail address, that is interesting in 3D modeling and using the Autodesk software for it. xD

Huh. I won't say no to free stuff, but I also don't want to get hooked and have dependency issues once I graduate. Regardless, it's worth trying, I suppose...Blender has its limitations...

3ds max vs 3ds max design?

Design comes with some excellent libraries and mental ray materials, stock has some sort of scripting support (?) added to it that Design lacks but, they're virtually the same as far as I could tell; that was true for 2009 at least. I use (been forced to switch ;p) Maya 2011/12 myself.

This is something I threw together in '09, I used only the procedural materials that were included in the Design suite.

Might also want to check out Autodesk's Mudbox for fun, if anything, you can make huge poly-sculpted messes of raytraced globs
