Post Does anyone know a this specific Dell motherboard?
Of course I'm using ebay and google to help me, but I need all the help I can get.

Really, I am asking if anyone knows a Dell Motherboard that has Socket AM2 or AM2+, a PCI Express x16 or 2.1 bus, and possibly with PS/2 Keyboard and Mouse slot?
(I know that PS/2 probably phased out during the release of the AMD Socket AM2, so you can omit that.)

It would have to take DIMM DDR2 memory, and the PCI Express would have to be normal/medium/a little longer than PCI bus.

Possibly with a parallel rear cover, since I know newer motherboards have Dual horizontal slots that only take USB peripherals.

I know this is very specific, but the motherboard I was building upon suddenly died, and it really isn't worth the time to investigate. I appreciate it if you guys would help.
Thanks.

Try looking up one that would come in a Dimension E521. I don't think they have a PS/2 connection though.
I could be wrong, it's been some time since I've used one of those, but I'm pretty sure they met all those specs.

I can't seem to find the power pin on the Dimension E521.
Thanks though Choko. I really appreciate it.

I found another motherboard that meets all my specs (mATX, PS/2, and everything), but I am worrying about the power panel switch, which I can see in the bottom-right corner, and it seems like a 9-pin power switch header.
However, I hear that Dell uses proprietary switches, and I have some doubt that though it is 9-pin, it probably won't work.
So, I am asking for a second opinion. Would my 9 pin Dell Dimension 4700 work on an ECS A740GM-M 7.0?

That is a picture of it.

I wouldn't trust getting an old motherboard off of ebay. I know when my brother needed his motherboard replaced on his HP PC that we were able to match it with a newer one that could still use his CPU and ram. I'm sure if you can give these guys the CPU socket and ram and specs of the old motherboard they can help you.

It's all right.
My new computer is assembled and stable now.
